Fundamentals About A Turkish Turban

By Cathy Mercer

Turkish turban means a lot amongst its wearers in various regions all over the globe. In some nations, it forms part of national cloth as a way of appreciating and identifying its significance. In such nations, a majority of the residents wear the headband. Some of the nations where dastar wearing is accorded more meaning are Afghanistan, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, and countries in the Middle East.

In countries where turbans form part of the national garment, individuals who do not tie them are treated with great stigma from the community. In most cases, their security is at stake since they become easy targets for attacks. They are regarded as non-believers who are not worth living among the believers. Such like accusations are usually unfounded and misguided.

Paggs are called differently in various regions. Among the names are include bulle, pagg, dastar, pagri, and Punjabi. It is known that paggs have existed in different regions around the globe only that they differed in forms. In religious groups where they have existed for the longest like the Sikh community, they act as a unique identity for the followers of the faith.

Dastars are wrapped by all age groups and genders. This may be an indication that gender equality is valued greatly in Sikhism and among other pagg wearers. Ladies may either wrap a pagg alone or they could wind a traditional scarf over it. Some ladies opt to use only the traditional scarf without a pagri. Kids also have their specific styles or paggs that are unique.

A pagri can be worn for many purposes one of them being to compliment a certain look. The headband is worn with a certain piece of clothing that it matches well with. Women are greater fans of matching bulles with an attire than men. They choose the color keenly and sometimes they invent their own styles of tying the dastar.

Dastars come in different color tints. The colors have varied meanings that are unique to each community. People from some communities have a belief that green is the color of paradise hence green bulles must be worn at funerals. In many cases, a red turban is worn in birthday parties, wedding ceremonies, and any other celebration. A longer turban is worn on official occasions like when going to business meetings.

Every individual in the world today has at least dealt with a turbaned person in one way or the other. It is time for everyone to be acquainted with paggs irrespective of their background. Treating paggs just like any other piece of garment is actually one method of guaranteeing peaceful coexistence between non-pagri wearers and the wearers. People must have respect for the universal right of others such as the right to dress up in whatever garments one finds suitable for them.

Turkish turban may be bought from local beauty shops or clothing lines where they are sold at lower prices. If one, it not happy with whatever is sold from the local outlets then they may go for the services of universal online sellers. More information on firms, which sell their commodities online are accessible on their blogs over the internet.
