Always prepare a spot removal kit that comprises of a dry white cloth, grease and oil remover, a mixture of powdered detergent solution placed in a spray bottle, ammonia solution and a polish remover. Keep it in a box inside a closet for safe keeping purposes.



In events that you encounter any animal accidents, you can flush it quickly by using cold water to further disperse the material and tap it using a dry rag. You should do it immediately for you to obtain great results. You can use any mild ammonia solution in the area that is affected and quickly dry it using a hair dryer or fan.



An extra challenge upon purchasing such rugs would be the stain removal. A sponge or a tiny brush can help in preventing the stain to spread in it. If you remove the stain successfully, take away the moisture by a paper towel and dry it naturally.



If you have already sponged down the entire rug, you could rinse it further with the use of a garden hose. You could remove the water in it by the use of old towels. Once the water is already removed from it, let it dry outdoors. Avoid placing it in a place where there is direct sunlight for it might be the cause in fading of colors.
