It isn't true to say that only those Muslim men who are strictly religious wear Arab turban.In fact, it is worn by others who are not that religious at all. The truth is that it is more likely something belonging to their traditional values rather than religious values. When it comes to different designs and styles, the variety can be endless depending on the fact that where you actually live and what cultural values you follow.



From region to region turban styles may vary. For instance, in Yemen, men wear a cap underneath known as the Kalansuwa and wrap the turban around it. The cap can be white, green or of any other color. Similarly, the design of the cap may differ in some ways as well. On the other hand, people living in Saudi Arabia are fond of wearing a checkered scarf over their head with a black band on top of it.



Not all people living within Muslim nations wear these head embellishments yet they are viewed as a part of their customs. One might as well realize that it isn't an obligatory thing rather something to do with the social qualities of a single person. Individuals who don't wear it in their everyday life incline toward wearing it on extraordinary events like Eid festivals, Wedding days and different prestigious events.



The length of cloth used for such type of head accessory may also vary and dependents on the region in which you live in. For instance, some men prefer the long ones and they like to keep a big loose end to hand over their shoulders. For the long ones, you don't have to wear any sort of cap inside because the length of the fabric is big enough to be tied on top of the head and then wrapped around easily.



It is a regular practice in distinctive Arab countries that their pioneers wear turbans. In addition, the turbans worn by them are truly distinctive as contrasted with what standard people wear. Their turbans are either immaculate white or unadulterated dark with a colorful band wrapped on top of it.



Sometimes, this head accessory is worn to signify an individual's cast, standing in the society, religious belonging and cultural values. Depending on all these factors the color, style and overall look of this head accessory could be distinguished among the rest. Many individuals use it as a way to show their power and wealth in the society they belong to.



Very few individuals are attentive to the way that initially this head wear was utilized by Arab individuals living within the dessert lands. Keeping in mind the end goal to keep themselves clean of sand, they use to wrap their heads and faces as well with the help of turbans. As the time passed by, individuals began wearing them even outside the these terrains and soon it turned into a customary image now accompanied by a large number of Arab men.



Therefore, it can be said that Arab turban has a lot of cultural and traditional significance attached to it. The style of wearing may vary from region to region but mostly men wear it to show their standing in the Arab society.
