How Body Language Can Have Specific Meaning

By Myra Roberson

Knowing body language is a diverse subject vulnerable to numerous symbolism at different occasions. This is compounded by the reality that the face of an individual alone can produce countless interpretable indications.

Regardless of this multiplicity of signals, that mean different things in disparate settings, there are several techniques on how body gestures can be used to decipher a particular different meaning. Overall, these kind of signs can take either of the following signs which includes, gestures, faking, emotional boredom, age, and cultural practice.

One of the most recognizable meanings of body language anywhere is a gesture. Then again, like all other sign language shows, gestures need be shown just in a context where they will be understood clearly. For instance, when one winks an eye to one another in a corporate conference, in this context this will be viewed as a cue to understanding a point or even showing mutual disagreement of what the speaker has said. In the same meeting, another individual can wink at another while moving out. This would imply that the latter is being cued to come out devoid of making a proper announcement to that effect.

Body gestures may also be used to identify lies. This becomes useful to shopkeepers and other business shops in identifying signals of cheating on cost or promoting a fake product.

One can look at the physiognomy of a seller of illicit items from the stealthy means he or she approaches the purchaser. This can also be deciphered from exactly how he or she repositions the body unnaturally such as facing the other in a sidewise way. One can even read the physiognomy of a person to know if they are faking. The eyes can show fear and the person may not like to look straight to the party they are partaking dealings with.

Age has been a trap to deciphering meaning from body language. Simply because as an individual becomes older, facial lines may come into place and may make it hard to understand whether a line on the face looks because one is cheating or even a result of organic change that has settled in the face.

Similarly, normal tendencies of a child like showing shyly before an older can't be sufficient evidence that they've been involved in mischief. This is because diffidence is normal to children.
